A Rainy Day brings Green Grass and Flowers - Day 43

Short and sweet. I don't love rainy days, but I do love how green the grass is, how the trees are leafing out, and how the flowers are blooming. Today was somewhat typical except Brayden and I did venture out of the house to the doctor. I know many of you are scared to go to the doctor, but our doctor is AMAZING. They are doing AMAZING things in the community and working SUPER hard at keeping their office a safe place. I had to get bloodwork done and Brayden had an appointment. They were super efficient and I felt safe the entire time.

We got home and finished schoolwork. It is still going okay, but I will admit Brayden has had some bumps in the road with expectations for his high school class. He probably has the least amount of direction and contact from his teachers compared to the middle school for sure. I would have liked to have seen his teachers be a little more hands on with his classes as he has 4 AP tests coming up in the next two weeks. He only meets live with his choir class and sometimes French. Both of those are his electives not his core classes. I know everyone is trying their best, as are we. I just know some of our teenagers are struggling with all the changes.

After dinner tonight we played Big Boggle. This is one of Josh's childhood favorites. O course, the kids knew their dad was going to kick their butt. He most certainly won the game by a landslide. I have learned to never play scrabble with an English major. I ALWAYS lose. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I have many friends that are in my prayers tonight for many different reasons. May they all find strength and peace in their situations.
