An Early Morning - Day 56

Ella and I woke up bright and early to get to Woldhuis Sunrise Greenhouse by 7am. We got up at 5:45 and left at 6am. We met Mom and Dad in the parking lot at 7am. There were about 10 cars in the parking lot, but they were coming in a steady stream. We donned our masks and headed in. We bought lots of flowers for all our pots, some herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and some other veggies. We also helped Grandma and Papa pick out a new tree for the backyard. They picked out a butterfly Magnolia tree. Should be very pretty. I think by the time we came out around 9am there were almost 100 cars in the parking lot. Thankfully, the checkouts were quiet and we were able to shop without being on top of people.

Ella and I headed home for breakfast. When we got home, I got Emerson set up on his new computer program. He started Explode the Code today. I am super excited to see how he does with it. So far it went well. We will continue working with it through the summer. We continue to do our "school" throughout the summer, if we are home. It gives us flexibility during the week. It also keeps us off electronics and keeps our brains sharp. I'll share our summer schedules in case anyone would like to see them.

After showers, Ella curled up on the couch to do math, while I decided to take a nap. I was pretty tired from our early morning. After our naps, we went outside and played and cleaned up the backyard. We helped a friend that is thinking about getting chickens. Ella loves helping others with animals.

Dinner was a simple fun meal that everyone loves. I'll share it in the food section. After dinner, Ella participated in a virtual photography workshop for 4-H. It was fun, but a little long. She definitely learned a lot though. The evening was spent relaxing, writing, lattes, and a few youtube videos about traveling. Hopefully we will be traveling again soon too. Pictures of our flowers will have to come tomorrow because I forgot to take them. LOL
