Another day.....Some days I just don't know what to say. Another COVID-19 shelter-in-place, remote learning day at home. The wonderful thing about today was the sunshine and a 5 mile bike ride with my 3 youngest. Remote learning is going okay. Micah seems to have some great activities planned by his amazing teachers. It s sometimes a distraction to my younger 2 because they want to hang out and watch what he is doing.
Emerson and I started with math this morning while Ella and Micah completed their writing. Emerson is doing multiplication. He likes math for the most part. He was much more interested in what his big brother was watching for Science today though. Both Ella and Micah submitted writing for the IEW writing contest. It was good to put their writing skills to go use.
While the kids had lunch, I did my 30 minutes on the elliptical. Emerson also played outside and took a tumble out of a tree/bush in our front yard. I can tell you my heart dropped when he came in crying. Like everyone else, I don't want to have to take my kiddos to the ER right now. Thankfully, it was just a scratch and we got him all wrapped up. He wanted to go for a bike ride instead of a hike, so a bike ride is what we did.
We took a break after lunch to take a bike ride before the rain. When we got home I planted the strawberries and hostas that I had split from my parents yesterday. Thankfully I got it all in before the rain and had time to sit in my hammock chair for a bit and read.

For taco Tuesday, we ordered the $1 tacos from Friaco's. I am not a huge fan of Mexican food, but Micah never lets me forget taco Tuesday. This was a first for us and it was nice to have a change. The tacos were great and it was a VERY affordable meal. It is fun to mix things up ever once in awhile.

After dinner, Josh and I tried out the mead he force carbonated. It was yummy. We did that while we worked on our monthly budget as well as the fun things that we have on our wish list. Financial Peace University was a HUGE benefit for us. We love planning for things now and knowing that we have the money for them and NOT going into debt. Here's to buying a hot tub in the near future....
