Cinco De Mayo - Day 49

We slept in after Ella and I stayed up until midnight to see if we could see the meteor shower. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy. No meteors, no stars, and no moon. This morning was a good learning day for us. Emerson and Ella started with Math. Emerson decided to create his own flexible seating. It was pretty inventive. Micah decided to do his schoolwork in his Flash pajamas. It was quite an interesting morning. I was pleased because I got quite a few things done from my list. That definitely felt good.

After lunch, I hopped on the elliptical. I have maintained my daily cardio workouts. This is the beginning of week 4. After the elliptical, Emerson and I curled up on the couch to do some reading. He read a chapter to me from his reading book. Josh and I did some research today for some programs we are going to implement for the summer and next year. We are going to start using Explode the Code soon for Emerson and see how it goes.

Josh and I had to sign paperwork to finalize our Living Trust and Will today. It definitely is not something you want to talk about, but I am glad we finally got it done. The attorney we worked with was wonderful and super helpful. I am happy to pass on her information if anyone wants it.

For Taco Tuesday today, I actually made Southwest Soup. It is one of the kids favorites and good on this cool rainy day. I am definitely looking forward to warmer weather more consistently.

Tonight seemed like a good family movie night. We watched Top Gun. The kids have wanted to watch it for awhile. We had to do a little censoring, but it was fun.
