Today was somewhat of a wash, but we still managed to get a few things done. We ALL slept in today. Well, I got up and taught at the early hour of 5am for the online teaching company I work with. I teach English to kiddos in China. I did head back to bed after my early morning teaching. Joshua headed out to his containment office, AKA our airstream in the driveway, to work. Ella got up bright and early for her online IEW class. She has been enrolled in this class all year. Such a blessing to still have it going. After her class, we all crawled back into bed and went back to sleep. It felt good to sleep in. When Ella got up, she started writing a blog post because she is trying to talk me into letting her start a blog. We all read and lounged. Emerson drew with Mo Willems again. Then we CLEANED this house. It wasn't pretty and I am sitting down in the chair now waiting for the floors to dry before finishing up the floors. Dinner is cooking in my new roaster. I made Fat Burning Cabbage soup to fill us with veggies. I am trying to use all our fresh fruits and veggies before starting on our canned and frozen goods.

Tonight we are planning on more games, free time, and relaxing. Last night we had a chess tournament. The kids are finding lots of new games and toys that we haven't had out in awhile. I am hoping the rain stops sometime so we can have a fire in the backyard. We are still trying to find the silver lining in all this. We had to cancel our Disney vacation and lots of our spring plans are on hold. Tomorrow is a new day and we will keep plugging away. Remember that teaching your children at school doesn't have to look like it does at school. Focus on their interests and the things that they need the most support with. We always do math, reading, and writing and fit in fun ways to learn about social studies, science, and the arts. Tonight was a great lesson in geography. :)
