Yesterday and today were pretty normal in the sense that our daily schedules haven't changed much. The one thing that was super cool about Thursday was it was a good friend of the kids' birthdays. Micah, Ella and Emerson had been planning a surprise for their friend Ryan throughout the week. We haven't been able to see them for months and they live in Indiana so no birthday parades could be done.

However, they did one of the neatest things I have ever witnessed. Micah, Ella, and Emerson built Ryan a surprise birthday party within Minecraft. They play together online. They created a private, hidden world. In that world they made balloon boxing, horse races, a birthday cake, a throne that set off fireworks when Ryan sat down. It was the highlight of my day to watch them reveal the world to him. It was precious. Happy 13th birthday Ryan!!
Today was another pretty ordinary day. The highlight of my day today though was a wonderful conversation with my 17 year old. He sought me out to talk about possibly taking classes at our local junior college this summer. He is already enrolled because of a dual credit class that the took this year, so that hurdle is already over. We discussed several different options from Intro to Business to Intro to Criminal Justice. We also talked about Psychology. He really wants to take that at the high school because of the teacher that teaches that, so I think he is going to hold off on that one. After some great conversations he is thinking pretty heavily at taking Intro to Criminal Justice. It is an online 5 week course. I must say those conversations are near and dear to my heart. We even went out and discussed it with Dad. :). It has hard to watch him grow up and so satisfying at the same time. I can't believe he will be a Senior next year. :(. I am definitely not ready.

We are looking forward to warm, sunny weather this weekend to enjoy some time outside. Happy Friday!
