Today started off as usual. I did my online teaching and then snuggled Ella who had a bad dream. Then we got up and started our day. I decided to do a little better meal planning for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to help the kids know what is coming and to help us know what is in the house.

I love that Emerson is finding new toys to play with each morning before we start his day. These were some family favorites. It is fun to see them out again.
We did some online school work. Micah competed in a Kahoot game from his math teacher. He also did a quiz challenge from his social studies teacher. Ella worked on her blog and online writing. Emerson did Reading Eggs and Math Seeds. Brayden is managing his own learning. There has been a lot of talk about his AP tests being completed online, so he is working on staying on track to take these tests.

I ran to get groceries to finish us off for the next 2 weeks, which is our typical meal planning. I also got groceries for my parents to keep them from going out. We took a trip down to their house this afternoon to deliver groceries and pick up my Mom's medication. We got to see them outside, and still 6 feet away, but it was so nice to see them. We also saw a bald Eagle on our drive by the Kankakee, which was SUPER cool. The kids got to play outside for awhile which was fun. It was nice to see them having fun and being able to see my parents even if it was outside.
Tonight we decided to order pizza from Big Pauly's Pizza. We have been wanting to try their pizza for a long time, so it was nice to support a local business. We all took showers and got dressed up to enjoy a Friday night (at home). It made dinner a little more special. After dinner we had a friendly game of Ticket to Ride Europe. It has been nice playing new games each night. I feel like we are finally settling into a routine. Our Governor announced we are off school until April 8th, so it is nice to know we are settling in. We continue to talk about the things that we are thankful for and also try to help those around us.
