In a funk - Day 15

Is anyone else feeling a little stuck in the monotony? I should be used to it considering this isn't that different from what we normally do, but at the same time it is COMPLETELY different. I am SO READY for warmer weather and sunshine so we can do our schoolwork outside in the backyard. I even bought a new hammock chair. My hubby hung a rope in a tree several years ago. My rope hammock bit the dust last summer, so I am excited to hang up my new one as soon as the weather warms up.

I think a little of the funk has to do with it also being birthday season at our house. Brayden turned 17 on the 7th. My birthday is this Friday. Next Friday is Emerson's 8th Birthday. Then 10 days later is Micah's. I have been wracking my brain of ways to make it special and fun. I have also been trying to order all the birthday presents so they are here on time. I am REALLY ready for some sunshine and fresh air and open windows. I think some sunshine and fresh air will help all of us.

What I have loved about today was watching my kiddos find things they love. Emerson has been playing with his legos for such long stretches at a time. I love watching him be creative. Today I got to watch Ella's brain work as she worked on her math today. These are the things that I like about slow days.
