I wasn't able to post my blog because we were having internet issues. So I combined Thursday and Friday's "quarantine" posts.
Thursday was a very busy day for me. I taught online bright and early. Then ventured to Aldi to get groceries. I have only been out a handful of times to get groceries since this started. I always feel kind of weird when I am out because it feels strange trying find what I need to feed our family of 6. I typically meal plan, but haven't been doing that since this started because I never know what will be there or not.
Ella had her hair class on Outschool. it has been a lot of fun for her. I loved to see her learn lots of different styles.

After groceries, I had a doctor's appointment. This was just a follow up for me that I do regularly to check my thyroid. All was well except when I came out to go home. My car wouldn't start. It was blinking a light that said the security system was armed. Josh drove over to Yorkville to help me out. I also called the dealer and my remote service department. Neither were able to help me. Josh decided to try jumping it to see if that would work and it did!! I was super happy. It seems as though the battery died, which I know isn't uncommon because they aren't being driven much, but my car is also only a year old. Weird.
I came home and switched cars to head to Walmart to finish my shopping. Ella's birthday is in 2 weeks, so some of my shopping was buying cake and decorating supplies. I made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and then Josh and I went for a long walk. It was a good day overall.
Friday is always a fun day at our house. Emerson loves to celebrate that the weekend is coming. We started with sleeping in and then made turnovers. I had plenty of help. We did some quiet reading which is always one of my favorites. Then we started on our pizza dough. We made homemade pizza dough. We left it to rise while I ran to do a curbside pick up of paint supplies at Michaels.
Homemade pizza night is one of our favorites. It is a bit messy, but lots of fun. Every one gets their own ball of dough and makes their very own pizza. We usually have quite a bit leftover, but no one seems to mind that either. I will share my dough recipes in the food section of my blog. I'll leave you with pictures of our Friday Homemade Pizza Night.
