Manual Labor - Day 11

We had 20 yards of mulch delivered to our driveway today. Yep, you read that right, 20 yards. There was no physical contact. I hesitated doing it, but my mom said it would give us a reason to get outside and do something. Well that was for sure. Today the kids and I moved about 8-9 yards of mulch. We cleaned up and spread mulch in our front yard and started the backyard. They ALL 4 were huge helps, but I will admit I was impressed by the youngest 2. They were troopers. Emerson loaded wheel barrows for 3 1/2 hours. Ella helped load and spread that whole time as well. Micah and Brayden both helped between school work and lunch. There were workhorses moving wheel barrows. I will admit I am SUPER sore and worn out. I am going to need a break from manual labor tomorrow to rest my muscles. I closed all my rings (apple watch people) by 2pm. Does that tell you how my day went?

For school this afternoon, we all curled up on the couch after our showers and snuggled under our electric blanket. We watched "The Boy who Harnessed the Wind." I have been wanting to watch it with the kids. It was an excellent movie based on a true story. It gave us lots to talk about as usual. Dinner tonight was Egg Roll Soup that I had frozen in the freezer. We enjoyed dinner together and shared our roses and thorns. I love hearing what went well for the kids that day and what they weren't so crazy about. Tomorrow is Friday and we ALL love Friday. The start of the weekend and a little less schedule.

Thanks for reading. I love seeing all the different places my blog has reached in such a short time. I hope it helps each of us stay more connected a little more sane. Feel free to drop me a note and let me know what you family is doing during this time and where you are "sheltering in place." Happy Friday Eve!
