Pool Day - Day 70

We slept in after our late night/early morning arrival from the Badlands. #BadlandsNationalPark Then we got ready to head down to see Grandma and Papa and enjoy the pool. I started some dishes and laundry to work on while we were enjoying the pool. We wanted to enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather that we have been craving. The kids were SO EXCITED that the pool is open. Brayden had to stay back today because he started an online class at JJC. He is taking an Intro to Criminal Justice class. He had some work due today at 6pm, so he stayed home to work on school work. So far he is really enjoying it.

We spent the day by the pool except for 2 quick thunderstorms that we waited out in the garage. It was a welcome reprieve from the cooler weather we had been having. I so hope summer is here to stay. I am also excited as we are having air conditioning installed next week in our house. We have lived here 6 1/2 years and have not had air at all. We use window units and have a window unit installed in the wall in the dining room, but we very rarely use it. I am excited to be able to use it even though I actually don't like air conditioning. I do look forward to being able to get the humidity out of the air on humid days.

The kids swam, played, floated, dove, slid, wrestled and all kinds of other things for several hours in the pool. I am sure they will sleep well tonight. We headed home for dinner and to continue cleaning out the van and Airstream. There will be plenty more to do tomorrow, but we worked on it for a bit. After dinner, we also did haircuts for Micah and Emerson. Both were super glad to have clean cut hair. I was able to do it i the driveway, but I definitely need new clippers and scissors. It feels good to be home, but I sure did enjoy the change in scenery. Tomorrow is a learning day for us and a clean up day.
