Read a book - Day 13

Today I did just about nothing other than curl up and read a book for most of the day. I must say it was delightful. I often feel guilty about not doing something, but after being so productive with all the mulch this week, we took the weekend to decompress and just relax. We made breakfast this morning and successfully watched our church service online. That was uplifting and hopeful. The kids played LOTS of Minecraft online with friends. They were super excited to find a couple more close friends to play with.

I have been trying to use what we have in the freezer and fridge for dinner. Tonight we had chili that was already made and in the freezer. I have meal planned for the next week or so to help with my grocery planning as well. I will probably be making a grocery run sometime this week.

Two of the kids have birthdays coming up this month. I have been working on trying to think of ideas of how to make those special as we are "sheltered-in-place." One of the things that I usually do to make the kids' birthdays special is making them homemade cakes. They usually come up with elaborate plans that I recreate for their birthday party. I am not sure what will become of the "party" part, but I am hoping to still give them fun memorable birthdays at home.

What books are you reading during this "shelter-in-place?" Tomorrow we are back on our learning schedule. I am sure we will be making more adjustments as it looks like we could be at home for another month. We will continue to practice #physicaldistancing #sociallyconnected
