Today started out well. It was another early morning for me with teaching, but then I got to snuggle back into bed with Emerson. He had a nightmare last night, so he ended up snuggling early. I think he has been having a rough couple of days, so I didn't mind the snuggles. Brayden always told me he wouldn't quit snuggling me, but that didn't happen. I guess at 17 he doesn't want to snuggle anymore. :(.
Emerson and I slept in as did everyone else except Josh. Josh was up and working bright and early. I made biscuits and gravy to celebrate Friday for brunch. Then we all got started on school work. I have also been working on video observations of my student teachers. Emerson is working on some activities with the book "A House is a House for Me."
After schoolwork today, it was cleaning day. We divided the house up between the kids and I and got to work. I was in a great mood this morning, but for some reason I got crabby this afternoon. I think sometimes the jobs and clutter make me crabby. Hopefully the kids will forgive my crabby mood, but we got it all done (mostly). We also have been doing lots of laundry. I am hoping to tackle the basement this weekend. Clutter makes me crabby, so we try to keep it at a minimum. It just always seems overwhelming. I know we all have those days.
We had beef stroganoff for dinner. I guess it was actually venison stroganoff. It is one of Ella's 5 top favorites she told me tonight. After dinner we played Emerson's new game, In a Pickle. It was a fun quick game. I think it will be even more fun as we all know how to play now. Hopefully we can get some games in this weekend too. Micah and I have been talking about some of the shows that we used to watch. We might have to check out a season of Wipeout or Amazing Race or something this weekend. I hope everyone had a good Friday. It was pretty uneventful around here.
