So Tuesday was pretty boring. It was a cool, dreary day. We did our normal things around the house; school, daily jobs, and just chilling. Emerson had fun trying to eat the cherries that we bought Grandma. Brayden spent time outside cutting his new sword designs. Ella had fun playing with her guinea pig. We took the day easy and it felt good.\
Wednesday was a bright an early morning teaching online. Then snuggles with Ella and Emerson before we took off to work on the garden at Grandma and Papa's.
We left for Bonfield at 11:30am after Micah finished his Math game with his 7th grade class. We got supplies all picked up for both boys this week as well. We left to give Brayden some peace and quiet while he was taking his AP Language test and his AP Microeconomics test. They were both at 1pm and 3pm for him today. This is the end of his junior year and I know he was glad to get it all done.
We arrived at Mom and Dad's just as the sun decided to come out. We were very thankful as it was pretty chilly this morning. We started out working to finish the flower bed we had been working on. Emerson helped Papa get the pool opened. This is one of the latest times we have opened the pool. The kids are anxiously awaiting getting in. It is officially opened, so now they are working to get the chemicals balanced. We also did a little weeding at the little house on their property. Really it is a little shed that looks like a little house. It is a kid's play house. We did a little more planting in the garden. We planted Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cabbage. These are things we haven't planted in the past, so I am anxious to see how they do. It has been too cool for many things to come up in the garden yet. Hopefully with the warming temperatures, our garden will start sprouting. :)
The kids ended the day with 4-wheel riding and kite flying. That became quite an adventure when the kites got twisted and stuck in the trees. Micah climbed 3 trees and we managed to get 2 kites down. Then we headed for home. It feels so good to be able to work outside during all this "quarantine" time. I like that we are able to still work together and get outside.
Our evening was brats on the grill. We even grilled out our cajun venison brats for the first time. I will admit they were very good. We ate outside, which was a little chilly. Then we all settled in for a bit. Micah played online with friends, Brayden went to see his girlfriend, Ella and Emerson played outside, and I snuggled under my electric blanket to get warm. Josh made latte's and we watched some National Park videos. :). Happy Hump Day!
