Stormy Week

Monday brought the completion of our AC. We have been waiting for air conditioning in this house for 6 years. Monday it was finally finished. They worked all day in the heat and didn't finish until 8pm, but it was so nice to try it out. As they were finishing the AC outside, we did some pretty deep cleaning of the whole house. Each kid gets a room or two with detailed jobs for each room. It felt REALLY good to get it all clean. We used our Sol-U-Guard to kill all the germs. I love our non toxic cleaners that are also kills ALL the germs. Sol-U-Guard has even been proven to kill Covid-19 as well! Awesome news.

It felt really nice to have the AC on as tropical storm Cristobal rolled in with lots of wind, humidity, and rain. We have been doing our summer learning checklist most days. I also ran a few errands Tuesday as well. I spent a LOT of time in the kitchen prepping dinner (cauliflower rice burrito bowls). I also made more kombucha. Then during the evening, Josh and I went out to the Airstream to get the cabinets put back together. I had to do some deep cleaning after having our mice friends in the Airstream. They are now gone, so I wanted to get the Airstream put back together. I was also able to clean out our closets and get them more organized and cleaned out. It felt good. We are still hoping to take our big road trip in July to Utah. Right now we have Great Sand Dunes NP, Mesa Verde NP, Arches NP, Bryce NP, Capital Reef NP, Cayonlands NP, and Zion NP on the schedule. We might possibly hit the Grand Canyon on the way home, if we aren't super burnt out on the road. We will see. We still have a month to go, so we are watching to see how everything is going.

Wednesday brought a relaxing day for the most part. The kids have begun working on their 4-H projects which will now be done as a virtual show. Hopefully, we can figure all that out. We turned off the air and opened up the house as the temperatures dropped. Josh's birthday and Father's Day present came today, so he wanted to go try it right away. This is also a partial present for Micah as well. He pitched in to buy it. Everyone went out to play with the new drone. Josh and Micah are super excited to try out all the cool features and fly it when we are on vacation too. I wasn't feeling super great today. I took it pretty easy. I was just worn out. Nothing super wrong, but just wiped out. After dinner, we snuggled up and watched the movie Maleficent 2. It was a super good movie and great family time.

Thursday was doctor day for us. All 4 kids had their well visits today. It went well, but I was glad to have Josh with me. All four kids are healthy and are growing like weeds. Micah grew 5 inches since last year. He is getting SO tall. He also passed me up in height. After the doctor, we did some math and Emerson worked on his online program. The kids have had fun playing outside. They are also having their first friend sleepover COVID style. They are sleeping outside in a tent.
