Today has been wonderful. The kids SLEPT in. I actually was up much earlier than usual for me. Josh even asked me what was wrong. LOL. I just slept good and got up at 8am. (See not so early, but it is for me.)
I was enjoying the quiet on the couch reading my book. I have been reading quite a bit since this all started. Josh and I came out on the back patio to have coffee and enjoy the sunshine. It was a nice slow morning. He got up and started tinkering and polishing the Airstream. That is one of his favorite things to do. I came out to work in the backyard.
I hung clothes on the clothesline, which felt good. I also cleaned up the chicken coop a bit. They are enjoying roaming free in the backyard. We have to be a little careful because we have a nest of baby bunnies. They actually ventured out of their nest to explore a little today. We also planted sunflowers in the backyard. I haven't had a lot of luck with them in the past, so we will see. I may buy more seeds just in case. I love the gigantic sunflowers and was hoping to grow some in the backyard this summer.
Josh also helped the kids get up the Ninja line and slack line. During the middle of that, there was a nerf gun war in the back yard. All of it makes me smile.
I also cleaned off the back porch so we could enjoy out time out in the backyard and start eating out here and being out more often. It wasn't a lot, but we got some stuff done and it felt good. More than anything, I enjoyed the warmer weather. I hope it is here to stay.
I wanted to try out my new inflatable kayak with Josh today, but we decided against it because all the waterways are super high because of all the rain. Hopefully I will get to try it out soon.
Tonight it is hamburgers and veggies on the grill. We are going to light a fire and turn on the lights in the backyard and just enjoy. I am very much looking forward to that.
